Tai Sifu David Dong is a disciple student of Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong, who is president of the Choy Li Fut - Tai Chi Plum Blossom International Federation. He is the chief instructor of the Golden Lion Martial Arts Academy. Sifu Dong has been in the Plum Blossom system for over twenty-five years and is a sixth-generation practitioner of both Choy Li Fut and Yang Tai Chi Chuan. He has successfully competed in dozens of local, national, and international tournaments, and he has been featured in Inside Kung Fu and Masters magazines. 
 
Tai Sifu David Dong has dedicated his life, as a fully rounded martial artist, to passing on his knowledge and experience to the 
next generation.


He has competed, in 2004, in the 1st World Wushu Competiton in Zhengzhou, China, the birthplace of the first Shaolin Temple.
Among 2,600 competitors, Sifu Dong was awarded a gold medal for the hands competition and a silver medal for the Double 
Broadsword competition.

In 2006, a team of more than 70 students from the Plum Blossom Federation competed at the 1st World Cup Tai Chi Chuan 
Championships in Taipei, Taiwan. Sifu Dong was awarded a 2nd place in individual push hands and 4th place Grand Champion 
division for fixed step push hands.
